After teaching skating today with Mayssan at the Dufferin Grove Park, (a bitterly cold day on an outdoor rink) I went to see a documentary I have been wanting to see for a couple of months. The U.S. vs. John Lennon, it was fantastic. I figured it would show a lot of footage that I have already seen a million times on tv. and various John Lennon documentaries but I was excited to see a lot of footage that I have never seen before. I have read several books about the life of John Lennon and he is truly an interesting character, but to see it on the big screen was awesome. He is so sarcastic and witty it's great! Constantly making jokes that you don't quite catch at first until he gives that sly smile and gets that comical look on his face.
The U.S vs. John Lennon - A documentary on the life of John Lennon, with a focus on the time in his life when he transformed from a musician into an antiwar activist.

Don't make the mistake of confusing Fame with importance. John was one hell of a song writer and a musician. He was just one of many in the world of people that were important and had a real impact. Real people get out and do things positive for the world. Many activists gain notariety without doing anything positive to help the world be a better place.
John was a great man, and i really look forward to seeing that documentary. Fame and importance are two very different things however having that fame helps to put the message across to so many people. I love John.
Good for people to know.
